Introduction:
The department of nephrology of govt. mohankumaramangalam medical college hospital was started in the old building with 8 beds in wards and 4 beds in dialysis unit at govt hospital in the year 1986. The department is now functioning in pmssy super specialty block ( iii floor). The department has facilities for performing peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis, crrt, capd, renal transplantation, renal biopsy and membrane plasma exchange.
