NSS

Govt. Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College has one unit of the National Service Scheme (NSS) with around 183 student volunteers. The unit regularly conducts various social service activities for the welfare of the community.

Around 30 NSS student volunteers participated in the Medical Screening Camp conducted at Valasaiyur, Salem District, on 16-06-2012. They assisted the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine (SPM) in the smooth conduct of the screening camp.

About 80 NSS student volunteers of GMKMC participated in a Hospital Awareness Programme held on 21-06-2012 at the Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College Hospital Campus, Salem. They organized an awareness rally throughout the hospital campus and distributed pamphlets to patients and their attendants regarding cleanliness and hygiene maintenance within the hospital premises.

A Silver Jubilee Garden comprising 100 trees was established during the Silver Jubilee Celebration conducted on 11 July 2015.
